Favorite Things: Vol. II

Favorite Things· Life

Well… I didn’t even manage to do a favorite things post last Friday. G and I had a stay-cation weekend here in CLT (post coming soon!) last week, so I tried to unplug and focus on that! Anyway, I’ll make this one a bit longer to make up for the lack of posting!

First things first: AIR Aerial Yoga.

A couple weeks ago, I did my second class ever there, and had SO much fun. For my Bachelorette party, my MOH planned for the bridal party to go to a silks and lyra (aerial hoop) class in Charlottesville, VA, and we had the BEST time. So when I heard that there was an aerial yoga place in Charlotte, I knew I had to try it!

From my bachelorette party! 🙂

I originally went to AIR last summer with my best friend, but I just went back for a second time with a coworker. They have two locations here in Charlotte, but also have locations in LA, Denver, and Chicago. The one here in CLT regularly offers $5 community classes so you can go with a friend for cheap if you just want to give it a try and take a cute insta pic. 😉

From this past summer at AIR!

Another CLT Find: Pacos Tacos and Tequila

This place is dangerous because it’s right across the street from our apartment. 🙂

This place just has a cool vibe, and they have lots of tasty tex-mex options. It’s relatively inexpensive and they have decent drink specials every nights. They have tons of interesting tacos (examples: chicken fried steak taco, smoked brisket taco, or chicken milanesa taco) and some dang good margaritas! I’m a big fan of the Rusty El Camino (it has blood orange puree in it!) and their Pineapple Mint Margarita.

iLIFE Robotic Vacuum

Promise this is not an ad, this is just a product I really like!

I’ve wanted a Roomba for like ever. However, I haven’t been as crazy about the price tag $$$

I was looking at a Roomba on Amazon and stumbled across this iLife one. It has great reviews  and it was selling for $149 at the time I bought it, so I bought it relatively impulsively.

It’s probably ideal for hardwoods, but most of our apartment is carpet; however, it picks up really well. It’s just so convenient to be able to press a button and have a chore be done while I can work on another. My only issue with it is that it will often get stuck on a certain side table we have. And it likes to gravitate towards it haha. For that reason, I don’t often turn it on and then leave the house, because I sometimes have to give it a hand and save it from the side table. I still love it though!!!

Here’s the one I bought, but they have newer models, so they might be better. I can only speak for this one!

Meal Delivery Services

I know I’m late to jump on the bandwagon for this one, but G and I have recently been trying out different meal delivery services. So far, we have tried Home Chef and HelloFresh, but we are planning on trying a few more. I’m going to work on a completely unbiased post to give honest reviews on the ones we try, so that if you want to try one out, you can get have some input on which ones are worth trying!

G is not a cook by any standard but he made us tilapia last night with roasted broccoli from HelloFresh and it was delicious! I’ve been pretty impressed from what we have had so far, so I think a meal service might be something we might keep subscribing to.

Its convenient because it’s less shopping that you have to do and its fun because they are easy (often take around 30 minutes to make) and often use ingredients that I normally wouldn’t have on hand. But because essentially everything you need is included, there’s no spending $8 on a random ingredient that you would only use for a particular dish.

If you use a meal delivery service that you really love, comment below and tell me about it!!

Wrap dresses

I have had like four long wrap dresses bookmarked for like 2 months now. I’m clearly way too ready for the weather to warm up! I have a couple of short wrap style dresses already, but I have been particularly obsessed with long wrap dresses lately– especially with long sleeves. They are just SO flattering, and it seems like they are on every body type.

Here’s a couple that I really want (click picture for link)!

SOS SOMEONE HELP ME DECIDE

Modern neon signs

This one is kind of random, but I went to a juice bar in South Charlotte last week that had their name on the cutest neon sign (above!), so ever since I have been pinning similar ones on Pinterest.

I showed G this one and I told him that I wanted it in our next place for the kitchen. I think if it has to do with coffee or pizza, he will be on board with it haha

Happy Friday, my friends!!

FYI: If you buy from any of my direct Amazon links, I may receive a commission 🙂

I grabbed some bricks from @loweshomeimprovement and used glue to secure a wooden house on top. Then my toddler foraged for pinecones, straw, sticks, leaves, and put them in the holes of the bricks and inside the house. We planted plants around the house, and made a cute little sign to go on top! We also made some bee/bug watering cups out of some shells we collected during our last beach trip! My toddler loves checking on our bug hotel and filling up the bug cups to make sure they have plenty of water 😊
