9 IKEA Hacks To Make Your Home Look Like a Pottery Barn

IKEA “hacks” are probably my new favorite thing to research on Pinterest. I had never heard of them prior to 6 months ago, and now, every time I walk into IKEA, I think about how I can “hack” various items to make them look like they came from Pottery Barn or something.

Three of these hacks are actually my own posts, but I wanted to share with y’all some of the best hacks I’ve found on Pinterest. My IKEA hacks have been some of my most popular posts here on the blog, so hopefully this can help you create beautiful furniture that doesn’t cost you a fortune! (P.S. All of these are linked to their original author in the title)

KALLAX Shelf Hack into Entryway Sideboard by Remodelaholic

This would be so great for an entryway. Plus there’s so much storage (who doesn’t need more of that)! I feel like it would also be perfect for organizing kid’s toys or a gameroom.

IKEA Rast Hack into Bedside Tables

This was the first IKEA hack I ever attempted and what made me realize IKEA hacking wasn’t so hard!

IKEA Hemnes TV Unit Hack into Mudroom Bench and Storage by House by Hoff

This one is so cool! If you have a mudroom, but don’t have a drop-off zone/bench, this is the hack for you! It’s a game changer. We hang our coats and bag up in ours and store things for our dog underneath our bench.

HEMNES Table Hack into Farmhouse Coffee Table by The Creative Mom

This is such a easy hack! And if you are looking to make you’re own coffee table, but don’t want to start with a piece of IKEA furniture, I have a tutorial on how we built ours from lumber at Lowe’s.

MOPPE Drawer Hack into Card Catalog by Little House of Four

This would be so cute as desk decor to organize small items! It looks like something you would pay $200 for at Anthropologie lol

BILLY Bookcases into Faux Built-Ins

This is our most recent IKEA hack and probably my favorite to date. It was a BIG project, but so worth it!

VITTSJO Table Hack into Farmhouse Entryway Table by My Fabuless Life

This entryway table doesn’t have as much storage as the first one, but I love the more minimal look of this one.

Hyllis Bookshelf Hack into Wall Planter by Remodelaholic

How cute would this be to grow herbs in your house!

IKEA TARVA Hack

I did this dresser in the exact same way as I did my RAST hack. If you’re wanting to try this one out, you can refer to my RAST guide, as everything was done in the exact same way (besides the length that the wood border was cut).
