There is a viral Chick-fil-A order by @SmallerSam_PCOS that has been living in my head rent-free. It consists of ordering a 3-count chicken tender, hot sauce, honey, and a kale crunch salad. And it is DELICIOUS. But paying $11 for it when I can make it at home easily? Not as tasty.

I started making a copycat version at home of this viral Chick-fil-A order and it is SO good, healthy, filling, and easy! I use these store-bought chicken nuggets because I swear they taste so much like Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets, especially when cooked in the air-fryer. And truthfully…. I don’t really measure when I make the vinaigrette for the kale crunch salad, but these are about my estimations of what I use. If you want it tangier, you can add more Dijon mustard or apple cider vinegar, and if you want it sweeter you could add more maple syrup.
Hot Honey Chicken and Kale Salad
Ingredients
Salad
- 1 cup chopped kale
- 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
- olive oil for massaging kale
- slivered almonds
Dressing
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- salt/pepper to taste
Chicken
- 4 oz chicken nuggets see note below
- 2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
Instructions

Cook chicken nuggets in air fryer per bag instructions.

While nuggets are cooking, add kale to a large bowl and drizzle with some olive oil. Massage the olive oil into the kale for a minute or so.

In a bowl, whisk together the ingredients for dressing. Add to kale and add chopped cabbage and slivered almonds as desired.

In a bowl, mix the honey and hot sauce together. Once chicken is cooked and crispy, chop into small bite sized pieces and toss in the hot honey. Top the salad with the chicken and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
I prefer the Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Bites because they are lower in carbs and taste very similar to Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets
