I’ve recently been planning out some home DIY projects we want to undertake as we are trying to take our builder grade house and turn it into something that looks a little bit more us and custom. Step 1 of that process entails one thing: Pinterest. I’ve been trying to nail down what kind of vibe I want to go for and I think that I tend to really gravitate towards transitional home decor style but with a vintage or eclectic flair to it. Maybe Nancy Meyers aesthetic, cozy traditional, or French cottage is a similar definition of the style that I am looking at. As I was looking into transitional eclectic and vintage decor, I stumbled across some items that made it onto my wishlist, so I thought I would compile it, in case you are searching for similar items to create this aesthetic in your home. I think that the best way to achieve this kind of transitional eclectic home decor in your own home would be to thrift and find these pieces at antique stores. However, because I know that is a time consuming endeavor, I found some items from Etsy, Anthropologie, Walmart, and Amazon!
Here’s some pins I found on Pinterest that serve as my mood board and inspiration for this kind of decor:
Here’s a link to a page on the blog that is constantly being updated with new items that I stumble across that I either admire or buy myself and love! I wouldn’t say that everything in my home completely aligns with this aesthetic, but decorating is a process!:
FYI brass candlestick holders are super easy to find in thrift stores and antique stores, so try checking there first!
I also shared an IKEA hack to DIY your own apothecary drawer here!:
