After writing my recent post about the DIY Giant Ruler Wall Art, I decided that I should probably share some photos of Theo’s nursery. The idea was to do with a jungle animals theme, but to keep it relatively minimal and simple overall. It all started with finding this cute jungle animals mobile, and we kind of went from there!
We are loving these bookshelves! They clearly actually hold a decent amount of books and are not too hard to put up!
Big fan of this IKEA dresser that we are using as a changing table and this changing pad. I love that the dresser has a built in edge so that things can’t fall off the back or sides. And we love this changing pad because there is no washable cover required. So when it gets messy, we just wipe it down.
This lamp was a 3 am Amazon purchase when I realized that having some softer light in the nursery, rather than the harsh overhead light, would be especially helpful for middle of the night diaper changes. I specifically got this one because of the built in table to be able to put drinks, bottles, books, phones, etc. when we are rocking Theo in the glider.
Also, this watercolor painting was done by my Grandmother back in the 90s! It’s a painting of me as a newborn and my mom. It feels so special to now have it in the nursery of my own child!
LOVE this giraffe basket from Pottery Barn Kids! It’s a little pricey, so we put it on our registry. But I think adds so much character to the room!
