Decorating our guest room has been a work in progress for roughly a year now. It still needs a lot of work in the wall art department, but for about 5 months, there was nothing but a mattress in the room, so our little changes are certainly a huge step in the right direction!
Finding a side table for our little guest room that didn’t break the bank was important, so I decided to thrift one and update it myself.
This was one that I bought at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for about $20.
I simply took off the knob and painted the whole thing with Krylon Chalk Pain in Misty Gray. Reattached the knob and WHALLAH!
I’m all about the little details I have compiled so far in this room.
Bed frame is from Wayfair and the duvet cover is from Pottery Barn (It’s on CRAZY sale btw!).
Lamp and shade are both from Target.
I got the candle and the little succulent pot from HomeGoods. And I got the little succulent from Trader Joe’s!
The fake flowers are also from HomeGoods. I liked the bright white, and glass vase for them to keep things light and bright!
One of the books is The Last Mrs. Parrish which I just recently read from my work book club lol
The other is my grandmother’s old Emily Post Ettiquette book. I thought they were both beautiful hardcovers and perfect for the little shelf on this table.
These pillows from catstudio are both splurges. I got them both as gifts from my in-laws, and I seriously treasure them! They are so beautiful and hand-stiched. The embroidering is perfect! Since I grew up in Charlotte, the North Carolina pillow is mine. G grew up in Virginia, so that one is “his”. 🙂
