16 Books I’ve Read So Far in Summer 2025

Books

I haven’t posted a book roundup since February, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been reading lately! (Although to be fair, I only read one book in March: Onyx Storm). I figured I would catch you all up on what I’ve read by doing a summer [so far!] round-up to encompass everything I’ve read from April to now! I also…

Cheap At Home Lip Boost?: Peptides with Hyraulanic Acid

Beauty

Last year, I was starting to notice volume loss in my lips- especially my upper lip, and I wanted to find an effective non-invasive solution. I tried The Inkey List Peptide Lip Balm with some okay results, but I wanted to try some other products. Now let me say that I have nothing against people who choose to get lip…

Terez & Honor Eyelash Serum Review (Honest and Unsponsored)

Beauty

At the beginning of the year, I started yet another lash serum on my quest to find the best prostaglandin-free serum. Last year I tried the Ordinary Lash Serum and had pretty decent results, but I wanted to see if there was something better out there! The Terez & Honor Eyelash serum was going viral on TikTok and for under…

Travel

We just got back from our 9-day Alaska cruise on the Norwegian Joy and had the best time seeing southeastern Alaska. Visiting Alaska has been on my travel bucket list for some time now, and when we looked at things, we realized that doing a Norwegian Alaska cruise out of Seattle would be the most cost efficient but also allow…

Abigail and Alexa Save the Wedding: Review, Discussion Questions, and Lian Dolan Interview!

Books

I had the opportunity to read an advance copy of Abigail and Alexa Save the Wedding (now available as May 20th, 2025). It is a fun, light novel for anyone who has recently been in (or is currently in the thick of) wedding things! I also think Abigail and Alexa Save the Wedding would be a really fun book club…

Viral Chick-fil-A Order Recipe (Hot Honey Chicken with Kale Salad)

Food

There is a viral Chick-fil-A order by @SmallerSam_PCOS that has been living in my head rent-free. It consists of ordering a 3-count chicken tender, hot sauce, honey, and a kale crunch salad. And it is DELICIOUS. But paying $11 for it when I can make it at home easily? Not as tasty. Oh, and just in case you haven’t seen…

75 Medium (Round 2): Before and After, Tips, Favorite Meal Ideas, and Final Thoughts

75 Medium· Health

I completed the 75 medium challenge for a second time! This second round was admittedly not as strong as my first one. We ended up accepting a foster placement in the middle of me being in this challenge, and taking on another toddler shook up how I was planning food and exercising and made me reconfigure my schedule. However, overall,…

Note: I did end up donating the formula elsewhere— I didn’t want to leave it outside because extreme temperatures can mess with the integrity of formula!

I took my toddler to the grocery store so we could pick out some shelf stable foods that are also good sources of protein. We made a couple of shelf stable birthday cake kits (everything included to make a cake!) and also donated a bunch of diapers that we no longer had use for!
I really want to start doing this more often, because it caused my son to ask a lot of good questions and we were able to have a good talk about helping others ❤️
