Glossier You Inspired Car Freshener For Under $10

Glossier You is one of my FAVORITE perfumes to wear. I wear the solid perfume version of Glossier You just about every day. Glossier You is described as a creamy, warm scent with sparkling notes of ambrox, ambrette, musk, iris root and pink pepper. Back in March, I saw a video for a Glossier You inspired car freshener for $10 and I was sold. It is described as having notes of pink pepper, ambrox, iris, and ambrette seeds. When I did a side-by-side comparison smell test, it smelled SO similar.

How To Use The Car Freshener

• Remove wooden cap and the plastic stopper
• Tightly twist wooden cap back on & tie securely around rear view mirror
• Tip bottle 1-2 seconds only until top of cap is lightly wet & move wooden bead down the string
• Re-tip 1-2 seconds whenever the cap is dry & you need a scent refresh

Things to Know

• The scent “diffuses” from the oil that is soaked into the wooden cap, therefore it is a similar mechanism to a reed diffuser. I don’t think reed diffusers have the strongest throw of scent, and this is similar. But I can still smell it in my car, it is just subtle. Given that Glossier You is a subtle, light scent to begin with, expect that, but I actually prefer it this way, because I don’t love SUPER heavy scents in my car.
• You will have to re-tip the cap every few days or so in order to smell the car freshener.
• You will probably go nose blind to the scent after a while, this is normal and doesn’t mean that the scent isn’t still there!
