Happy Friday! This is my third week completed of doing night shift now, and I feel like I’m finally starting to adjust. But I’m quite happy to be at the weekend now and to go out of town next week!
Let’s go ahead and get to it then; here’s a few things that I have been loving recently 🙂
Got my nails done with the color passion again which is like the perfect coral/pink for summer! I keep getting it not realizing I’m getting the same color so frequently, but I think there is a reason I always gravitate to it.
I recently had some AMAZING risotto on our recent trip to Lynchburg, VA, and it has been on my mind ever since. Considering trying this recipe out soon 🙂
For anyone following our new home saga, we have been planting like crazy since NC has blessed us with cool, rainy weather. Our grass isn’t the happiest rn, but I know it’s going to look amazing next year!
In our front garden beds, I have planted salvia, baby gem boxwoods, and wedding white hydrangea bushes. I also replaced the pine needles with black mulch, and added garden bed trim.
For our front door, we added these two faux wood planters, and in each I added a dwarf hydrangeas, Boston fern, and some sweet potato vine! I like the look of it now, but I cannot wait to see it with blooms on the hydrangeas next year. We also got a ring doorbell (because I get nervous being home alone haha) and a cute welcome mat!
We bought two of these IKEA Ektorp sofas in Lofallet beige. They are under $400 each and a pretty good size! We got two to sit parallell to each other and then we are planning on buying a couple chairs for our living room as well. So far, we really like them, and its nice having slipcover couches that you can easily wash if needed. I’m sure I will do a review of them once we have had them a bit longer, but for now, I’m really happy with them, especially considering the price!
