Looking back, it’s been a few weeks since I published a Favorite Things post! Between our mini-trip to Charleston, school restarting, and other content I’ve been super inspired to write, this post kept getting pushed to the back-burner. But I’ve pulled it together now– yay!
Enjoy, and have a very happy Friday!
1. Silk Scarves
I’ve been reading a lot of Gal Meets Glam lately (I’ve followed her blog FOREVER, but recently have just been reading a lot of old posts), and I’m forever a fan of her classic and vintage inspired style. I have always loved silk scarves– they remind me of my grandmother who used to wear them, but recently have fallen back in love.
It kills me that I don’t have any of my Nana’s scarves and that they were probably donated when she passed a few months ago, but I’ve been checking out eBay and estate sales for some vintage ones. If you’re interested in some, but don’t want to pay an arm and leg, here’s some cheap options on Amazon!
2. Shark Vacuum
This is probably the most boring thing I could have possibly put on my “favorite things” list, but I guess I’m just at the point in my life where a new vacuum brings me joy. Whatever. I’m embracing it.
This Shark Vacuum is under $150 and is amazing. My family always used Dyson, so that is what I was originally looking at, but they are just so expensive! This one that I ended up getting works like a charm and has a huge canister for dirt. Not to sound gross, but I vacuumed like half of our living room when I got our new one and the canister filled up way faster than I am proud of. It made me realize how much our old vacuum was missing!
3. Probiotic Drink
I got this the other day at work in our cafeteria and it is SO GOOD. It doesn’t taste like a “healthy” drink to me, but I was so scared to try it initially! It has a ton of probiotics in it (like billions) which is awesome because I have been pretty on and off with my normal supplements due to travel and my schedule being weird. Anyway, the one I got was Strawberry Acai Coconut, and I highly recommend it. Especially if you hate kombucha but want to like it because of the health benefits. I personally like kombucha, but this drink doesn’t have the vinegar smell or anything like that.
4. Nail Color
The color I most recently got is called Snow Birds. It’s not an OPI color, but an “SNS” color instead. Since I always get dip powder, I found some regular nail polish glitter colors that are similar, if you do at home manicures 🙂
(Similar or combo of this polish and this one)
And lastly, because it’s been 2 months since I last updated my letter board:
