Favorite Things: Vol. XV

Howdy friends!

We have made it to yet another Friday, and I managed to pull myself together to write a Favorite Things post! It’s kind of blowing my mind that we are already in November, it feels like yesterday that I was writing my 2018 Visions and here we are a couple months away from 2019 (ahhh!)

I have big dreams for 2019, so maybe I should start working on that post now 🙂

Anywayyyyy, here’s 5 favorite things from the past couple of weeks:

1. Food Photography Class by Chrissie @ Off The Eaten Path

Chrissie has a food blog that I have admired for quite some time (you’ve probably seen her dreamy food photography on Pinterest at some point in your lifetime!). So when SkillPop offered a food photography class a few weeks ago that she was leading I immediately signed up! It was so fun and I learned a lot of great tips for photography and editing!

Hopefully it will encourage me to post more recipes on here 😉 Anyway, this was a photo I took during class of a cookie from Suarez Bakery here in CLT!

2. New Apple Watch Band

This bad boy was posted on Holy City Chic‘s Insta-story a number of weeks ago and it finally arrived and I just love it.

I had been wanting a leather band for my Apple Watch, to make it look a little bit classier sometimes, but didn’t want to spend a ton of $$$

You can get this band in a number of colors HERE on Amazon!

3. This weird plant from Trader Joe’s

I’m honestly not sure what kind of plant this is but I love the crinkly leaves and the pot it came in and honestly I also love it because I’ve had it for 2 weeks and it hasn’t died yet 🙂

4. This easy 1 pan meal!

I’ve been doing various versions of this every week lately. It’s been G’s favorite because we LOVE roasted veggies and we feel like we are eating the rainbow.

I roast some sweet potato chunks in the oven at 400 after tossing them in some avocado oil, chili powder, sea salt, and pepper. Once they have cooked for about 15 minutes, I add chopped bell pepper, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and chicken sausage and cook for about 15 more minutes. Ta-da!

5. Bubble Bath by OPI

Always a classic– but actually the first time I got this color in SNS. I would normally do a darker color for fall, but I was matron of honor (hate that term lol) for my best friend’s wedding last weekend.

The last time I got this color was for my wedding and I got it in gel. It’s a little less sheer in SNS which I like!

Happy weekend y’all!
