I’m always trying to get my toddler more engaged with nature, so we made a bug hotel together 🐞🐛🦋

I grabbed some bricks from @loweshomeimprovement and used glue to secure a wooden house on top. Then my toddler foraged for pinecones, straw, sticks, leaves, and put them in the holes of the bricks and inside the house. We planted plants around the house, and made a cute little sign to go on top! We also made some bee/bug watering cups out of some shells we collected during our last beach trip! My toddler loves checking on our bug hotel and filling up the bug cups to make sure they have plenty of water 😊

Every month, my toddler and I go shopping for our local community pantry and we go donate it together. It gives me an opportunity to talk to him about how we don’t want anyone in our community to be hungry and how we can care for others by giving with the abundance we have ❤️ he loves grocery shopping and loves to organize the things we are donating in the pantry, so it always ends up being an activity for him too 😉 #toddleractivities #toddlermom #raisingtinyhumans
